This weeks assignment was "use whatever set you want"! I had been wanting to use the pop-up cards, so I used the Assorted Pop Up Cards Template.
This weeks assignment was "use whatever set you want"! I had been wanting to use the pop-up cards, so I used the Assorted Pop Up Cards Template.
I used the Cupcake pop-up and the candle and flame from the cake.
I cut a doiley out of vellum to look like the cupcake was sitting on a pretty napkin.
I used glitter on the flame and chunky glitter for the sprinkles.
Here you can see the tab, before the cupcake is attached.
My niece loves Sloth's, so I did a print and cut picture of a Sloth for the front.
Thanks for stopping by.

BOWS, BOWS and BOWS!!
Be sure to visit the Cutting Cafe Blog on the 7th and 21st of every month for our design teams inspirational post in which by leaving a comment you will be entered into a drawing to win 3 FREE sets of your choice from the online store.
This weeks assignment was to use the Gift Bow Template.
I chose to make a bow for a Christmas present! I used the same paper stack as the card I made, so that it would all coordinate together.
I hung the card on the gift bag, didn't want to "hide" it in an envelope. :)
One thing that I really like about makeing your own bows is if you have paper that you wouldn't normally use, make a bow out of it! Once the strips are cut and you put it together you loose the pattern and really just see the colors of the paper. Try it!!

This weeks assignment was to use either the Christmas Shape Shaker Card Set or the Christmas Word Shakers.
There are so many cute shaker cards in the Christmas Shape Shaker set it was hard to chose just one, but I decided to make the Christmas Stocking.
I also used one of the printable included in the set for the Happy Holidays!

I absolutely LOVED the Turkey Shaped Card.

I absolutely LOVED the Turkey Shaped Card.
The Turkey cut file comes with 2 layers of Turkey feathers. I wanted a 3rd layer so I duplicated a layer and re-sized it.

Houses, Houses, Houses!
Be sure to visit the Cutting Cafe Blog on the 7th and 21st of every month for our design teams inspirational post in which by leaving a comment you will be entered into a drawing to win 3 FREE sets of your choice from the online store.
This weeks assignment was to use either the House Shaped Card set or the 3D House Set.
I really like the House Shaped Card and I thought it would be really cool to stamp inside or out "From our House to Yours". You could use it for Birthday, Thinking of You, Miss You or any Holiday!
Since I live in Minnesota, you can't have a winter card without a little snow, so I used liquid applique to the fence, roof and chimney.
I also made a fall themed house with little hedges and a bow.

I used Halloween patterned paper and printed the sentiment from the file set.
