Challenge #5 is "Chevrons, Anyone?"

Just a Scrappin ( http://just-a-scrappin.blogspot.com/ ) Challenge#5 is "Chevrons, Anyone?" This week's challenge is to create a layout or card for any occasion using chevrons. You can use any cartridge or colors.

I created a chevron mask and sprayed several different colors of Glimmer Mist to the ivory cardstock to create the Chevron background.

The Squirrel and nut were cut from the create-a-critter cart.  All cardstock is Club Scrap.  I "stiched" around the Squirrel, nut and chevrons.

This will be an 16 year Anniversary Card for my Hubby on Friday.

Just A Scrappin' Challenge #4 Step into Spring

This week's challenge is "Step into Spring," both an embellishment and color challenge. Using the colors green, honey yellow and pink along with a tag from any of the cartridges to create a spring time card to celebrate the new season

On my Pink I stamped Stampin Up's French Script in Distress Ink Vinktage Photo. The Doily is cut from Stampin Up's Doily Die. The tag is from the Cricut Tags, boxes and more cart.

The flowers are made using Tim Holtz Shattered Stains technique. I cut the flowers from Gundgeboard and then put on a layer of crackle rock candy and then added various Tim Holtz Distress Stains.

My Scrap Room

My favorite things in my Scraproom are the Organizational items that my DH has built for me. In this photo, you can see my stamp racks as well as my ink pad racks and above my desk is my Craftsman triple track that holds all of those little items like pop dots and embossing powders close at hand.

The photo below shows the ribbon rack DH build for me.

This photo shows my big stamp rack, the other side of the ink racks and my punch rack.

This photo shows my "island". It is made of two separate units, so that they can sit back to back as an island or end to end and shown in this picture (we move every 3-5 years with my job and I like to have components that easily fit together in any house).

This shows my paper storage, my scrap helper Zeus and shows how I store my Cricut and Imagine carts.
