April Create and Learn - Marker

As I was working on May's Create and Learn class I realized that I never posted my April's Create and Learn finished project.

One of the things I love most about these classes is that it stretches me outside of my comfort zone and that helps me learn.  I never do backgrounds as I don't want to mess up my finished image, but Alyce teaches us to do that first, which certainly does help!

And here is Ziva helping me with the first photos.

Ohhh, my baby girl!!

Watermark

I wanted to share my new Watermark.  I LOVE it and it couldn't be more perfect for me!!

I got my watermark from Nikki at Creative Junkeez.  She has custom or generic watermarks starting at just $3.  How can you beat that!!

Because I'm a Dog Mom of two wonderful fur babies, mine has paw prints on it.

You get 1 black, 1 grey, 1 white and 1 40% transparent white!!

If you need a watermark, I would Highly recommend Nikki.

Treat Cup Card

Be sure to visit the Cutting Cafe Blog on the 7th and 21st of every month for our design teams inspirational post in which by leaving a comment you will be entered into a drawing to win 3 FREE sets of your choice from the online store.

For this weeks assignment we could use any of the 7 Treat Cup Cards

I chose to use the Hot Air Balloon treat cup card.

I Love that Regina included the treat cup in this file, so you don't have to purchase them separately.

I used an embossing folder on the basket and then inked with Tim Holtz Vintage Photo ink.

The just for you is from the sentiment set included and punched with the Stampin up itty bitty label punch.

Close up of the treat cup.

I also love the secret panel on the back to get the treats out without tearing up the card.

Drink Can Card!!

Be sure to visit the Cutting Cafe Blog on the 7th and 21st of every month for our design teams inspirational post in which by leaving a comment you will be entered into a drawing to win 3 FREE sets of your choice from the online store.

For this weeks assignment Regina challenged us to alter any kind of item that we would normally throw out after it was empty and use it with one of the many background sets from this printable background link

I decided to use the Christmas Chevron Printable.

My item that was going to be thrown away is Hubby's Monster Drink Can.

I cut the top and bottom off.

Then I taped it to a piece of copy paper and printed the red and blue chevron on to the metal.   I then heat-set the ink with my heat-gun, to make sure ink was dry.

I then loaded the metal into the Cricut and chose custom settings (Alumminum metal) and cut the Stars from The Cutting Cafe's Card in a Box Embellishments Sheet 1.

Here are the stars.

I cut a rounded card and layer from Cricut images and then cut a red label image.  I wrote Congratulations in Samantha font on the red layer.

I added some twine, the stars on two different height pop dots and a button.  I didn't want to add too much and take away from the stars!!
