Finished project.  I sprayed the scissor cardstock with yellow, white and gold Mr Huey's before die cutting.

Close up of top.  I took Maya green twine and rapped around spool.

Bottom drawer open.

Top open.

This was a really fun project and I still have lots of cardstock left to make some cards from.

Easter Wishes

Be sure to visit the Cutting Cafe Blog on the 7th and 21st of every month for our design teams inspirational post in which by leaving a comment you will be entered into a drawing to win 3 FREE sets of your choice from the online store.

For this weeks assignment we could use any file from this Easter link!

I decided to use the Fence Tulip Card.

I used the same blue paper on the back of the fence, so you couldn't see my greeting.

I printed the Easter Greeting from the sentiment set included onto the cloud.  I used glitter around the flowers and rhinestones on the butterfly.

I cut some grass and embossed wood onto the fence.

SVG Cutting Files' Challenge :: Birthday Theme!

The Challenge
Create a birthday themed project using a file from SVG Cutting Files as your main focus.

I used the Clown with Balloon on the Arched Top Card Base.  I added Glossy accents to his glasses and balloon.  Instead of cutting his eyes and nose out, I used a Peachy Keen Clown Face stamp, colored the eyes white and added stickles to the nose.

Enamel dots added to the bottom and Happy Birthday embossed in Black.

For the butterflies I used Mod Podge melts and painted them with Tim Holtz Distress Paint.

Hello die is from Sizzix triplets and White Enamel dots.

2015 DAY Card

Be sure to visit the Cutting Cafe Blog on the 7th and 21st of every month for our design teams inspirational post in which by leaving a comment you will be entered into a drawing to win 3 FREE sets of your choice from the online store.

This weeks assignment was either 2015 Calendar Printable Set or 2015 Day Calendar Printable Set.  I chose to use the 2015 Day Calendar Set.  This set can be used for so much more than making a Calendar (though that's a good use too).

I chose to make a Birthday Card using the March 14th Day.

I crumbled the day, added gathered twigs distress ink, spritz denim ink and then spritz water and heat set.  This gave the "day" a nice old distress look to it.

I just Love the look the set gives to a card!

GREEN!!

Be sure to visit the Cutting Cafe Blog on the 7th and 21st of every month for our design teams inspirational post in which by leaving a comment you will be entered into a drawing to win 3 FREE sets of your choice from the online store.

For this weeks assignment it was a free "green" week.  We could use any file we wanted, we just needed our projects to be mainly the color green!

I decided to use the Butterfly Shaker set.

I used a few different green from the same paper collection and then added some gems for the body and a green one for the head.
